A WAITRESS on 12 fraud charges involving sums totalling just over $4 000 was released on bail when she appeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Sheena Nakeisha Lambert, 23, of Reid Gap, The Garden, St James, was not required to plead to the charge that not being at her place of abode she had a Coutts World Masters Credit Card in the name of Andrew Winters – an article for use in connection with criminal deception – while at Super Centre JBs on May 31.
She was also charged with dishonestly obtaining liquor to the value of $343 from JBs by falsely representing that she was in lawful possession of the card and that she was authorised to use it on that same date.
In addition she faced similar charges in relation to clothes and shoes, worth $295, from Ruff and Tuff Boutique on May 7; costume jewellery from Finishing Touches on May 7 and more clothes and shoes, valued at $545, from Ruff and Tuff Boutique on May 11.
In Holetown’s jurisdiction, Lambert was not required to plead to dishonestly obtaining groceries from Super Centre on May 8, May 10, May 15, May 19, May 20, May 22 and May 25 by deception.
Lambert later indicated she intended to repay the monies.
There was no objection to bail and Magistrate Pamela Beckles released her with a surety of $5 000.
The accused will reappear in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court on July 1.
