THE men’s section of the 26th Banks International Hockey Festival has boiled down to a Barbados-Trinidad and Tobago battle for supremacy after the final day of preliminary matches yesterday at Kensington Oval and Police Sports Club.
Du Badd Crew and All Stars fly the flag for the locals, while Queen’s Park Cricket Club and Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF) bring it for the red, white and black.
Du Badd Crew were the more impressive of the Bajan duo, topping Zone A with a 100 per cent record after demolishing Old Gold Roosters 5-1 and following up with a 4-2 success against University of the West Indies (UWI).
Du Badd and All Stars, the only men’s team still remaining with a festival title – back in 2008 – will square off in the final four, with Queen’s Park and TTDF meeting in the other semi. (CC)
