Eric Alleyne is poised to write his name on local football history’s page at Kensington Oval on the 46th anniversary of Barbados’ Independence.
Alleyne has a golden chance of becoming the first coach to win the first prize of $100 000 in the today’s final of the LIME Pelican Football Challenge with two different teams.
He won last year’s inaugural tournament with Bajan Pride and now he’s back, this time dictating the strategy of Phoenix UFO Toyota Fire House as they clash with joint favourites Akademiks at 8:30 p.m.
Fire House’s owner Everton “John Wayne” Keizer has lauded the former Barbados midfielder and one-time captain.
