Help is on the way for female drug abusers and their families.
The doors to Barbados’ first rehabilitation centre for such women should be opened around this time next year.
That was the word from president of the National Organization of Women (NOW), Marilyn Rice-Bowen, as she spoke to the DAILY NATION yesterday at First Baptist Church, Constitution Road, St Michael, where a service was held to launch the 16 Days Of Activism Against Gender Violence campaign that focuses on ending violence against women.
The 16 Days Of Activism run from November 25 to December 10 each year.
