Ministry for Jesus in song

Hundreds of Anglicans gathered in Independence Square on Sunday evening for a special service under the theme Wholeness.
And from as early as 4:30 p.m. they were treated to the sweet singing of hymns and choruses, led by a worship team backed by a band of talented musicians.
Adding variety to the evening was a dance ministry group from Christ The King Anglican Church, Rock Dundo, St Michael, who received thunderous applause.
In delivering his sermon, Reverend Michael B. Curry reminded the gathering that God had a divine plan for all.
The visiting Anglican bishop from the United States said: “God has a dream for every boy, girl, man, woman and for this Anglican community and for this island nation. God’s got a dream and none of us are here by accident. We are all here by divine providence because God has called us to be here.”
We are the children of God made in the image of God, he said.
Reflecting on a passage of scripture from Luke 4:16 and onward, Curry told the congregation:?“Jesus’ mission was to set the captives free, recover sight to the blind and to preach good news to the poor. This is part of God’s dream, whether you are red, yellow, black or white; we are all precious in His sight for Jesus loves His children.” (RL)
