Drugs found in prison cells

Prison officers have discovered illegal drugs in the cells of two inmates.
The drugs were found during random searches of the cells at Her Majesty’s Prison Dodds.
A release from police this morning stated that two transparent packages containing cannabis weighing 10.6 gms were discovered in the cell of Wayne Randolph Springer who is 43 years old.  Springer is currently serving a 25 year sentence for rape.
In the cell of Morlan Orein King, 28, three transparent packages containing cannabis weighing 42.8 gms were discovered.  King is currently on remand for felony offences.
Both matters have been referred to the Drug Squad.
Springer was charged for illegal possession of cannabis, while King was charge with illegal possession of cannabis; possession with intent to supply and trafficking.
Both men are expected to appear at the District C Magistrate Court on Monday.  (CM/PR)
