Come out, come out, to the St George Secondary School on Wednesday for the Nation Talkback town hall meeting to discuss the cost of living.
This was the constant refrain ringing out to residents of St George this evening as a Nation Bandwagon went on a whistle stop tour of some parts of that parish. Residents of St George are being encouraged to attend the town hall meeting which takes place at 7 p.m. at the St George Secondary School.
Residents received some Nation products as well as flyers on the town hall meeting that will feature a panel that includes David Neilands, chair of the Food Group of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce, Jai Jebodsingh, chairman of the Consumer Protection Committee of BARP, Lynette Holder, Chief Executive Officer of the Small Business Association and Walter Maloney, President of the National Union of Public Workers.Moderator will be the Nation’s Editor in Chief Kaymar Jordan.
Corporate Communications officer Marilyn Sealy said she was happy with the response from residents in the area.
“The Nation Publishing Co. Limited has always been in the forefront of community outreach, therefore we are happy to stage this series of townhall meetings, Nation TalkBack. The townhall meeting provides a wonderful opportunity for us to meet with our readers and various publics and to give them a voice to share their views on topical issues affecting their everyday lives” she said.
Sealy was accompanied by the Nation’s Associate Managing Editor Tim Slinger, Saturday Sun Editor Sanka Price, Online Editor Carol Martindale, and marketing assistants Keisha Humphrey and Tresha Nelson. (CM)
