Murder accused remanded

A 36-year-old utility worker charged with murder and wounding following an incident in New Orleans, St Michael last week, was remanded to HMP Dodds yesterday.

Anthonia Windgrove Ellis, of Denny Road, Thorpes, St James, was not required to plead to murdering Lorenzo Joseph on February 16, following a shooting incident in The City. Ellis was also not required to plead to maliciously wounding Reo Walkes, with intent to maim, disfigure or disable him on the same date during the same incident.

He appeared before Magistrate Douglas Frederick in the Criminal Court No.1 and the matter was transferred to Criminal Court No. 2 for March 22. (RA)
