Residents?of Rock Gap, Spooners Hill, St Michael, are deeply concerned about the collapse of a portion of land around a well that is being built.
The well is being built by the Drainage Unit to catch rainwater in order to prevent flooding, but residents charge that workmen refused to heed their warnings about the instability of the area.
An upset Judy Clarke, who gave permission for the well to be built on her property, is now living in fear since most of the road around her house has also broken away.
She stated that she and other family members tiptoe around the well in order to get to and from their homes. (MB)
