Silver gilt for display at Chelsea

Barbados has won the Silver Gilt Medal Winners Certificate on its Summer Holiday display at the prestigious Chelsea Flower show.
It was put together by members of the Barbados Horticultural Society.
This country now has 15 Gold, 9 Silver-Gilt and one Silver in a highly commendable 25 consecutive years at the flower show.
The theme Summer Holiday was specifically chosen to highlight the importance of tourism to the economy and lifestyle of Barbados, as well as to portray how the beauty of this country’s natural environment is an integral factor in making Barbados an attractive destination. (PR)
