SOME MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT are taking it seriously while others have dismissed the CADRES poll showing Owen Arthur to be the favoured leader and possibly the next Prime Minister of Barbados.
In response to the poll published in the last SUNDAY SUN, Prime Minister Freundel Stuart said yesterday it was “irrelevant”, while Minister of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries Dr David Estwick promised to fight as vigorously as he could for a Democratic Labour Party (DLP) victory.
Former advisor on poverty reduction Hamilton Lashley described it as “a wake-up call”.
“You’ve got to take all the information and work with it,” Minister of Transport and Works John Boyce added, while backbencher James Paul said he was taking nothing for granted.
