FORMER England captain Michael Vaughan has describedas “terribly sad” that West Indies in the current cricket Test series in England are without Ramnaresh Sarwan.
“I just find it terribly sad that the West Indies are playing with such an inexperienced batting order when you’ve got someone like Sarwan,” Vaughan said.
He was speaking after listening to Sarwan’s interview on the BBC Sport website in which the 31-year-old veteranof 83 Tests indicated he would not return to the West Indies team under coach Ottis Gibson.
Sarwan is an outstanding playerwho was a “free spiritand always fun whenI played against him”, Vaughan said.
