Mum: No uniforms, no money

Scammed.
A?young mother who sought only to purchase school uniforms for her daughter was brought to tears when she turned up  to collect the clothes only to find that the company has ended its operations.
Laketa Burnett of Denton Road, Grazettes, St Michael, is down and out of the $120 deposit she paid A.S. Graphic Studio on Welches, St Michael, a few weeks ago, for five uniforms for her ten-year-old daughter Diamond.
A hurt and crestfallen Burnett told the WEEKEND?NATION that all efforts to reach the owner of the business had failed.
“I have spoken to the police at District “A”  but they say there is not much they can do with the owner having vanished.
“My money is dead and school is less than two weeks away. I don’t work, so I have to scramble. This is not fair. I just can’t believe it. I have shed so many tears over the last few days,” said a distraught Burnett.
Burnett, 26, said she had no reason to doubt that the business was legitimate when she made the deposit for the uniforms on August 2.
