PORNOGRAPHY IS HAVING a devastating impact on some marriages and relationships in Barbados, say two leading family therapists.
They say it is such an addiction that at night some men, and a few women, sneak out of bed from next to their spouse to watch pornography on their laptops.
And both warned that interest in pornography is increasing to worrying levels locally as they, and their colleagues, are confronted with more cases relating to this phenomenon than ever before.
Reverend Dr Marcus Lashley said that 18 months ago, in his practice at Synapse Psychological Services, pornography came up in at least one case every five months. Now it presents as either the cause of, or an underlying problem in, a relationship at least once every other week.
