Getting down

It was spouge all the way when dozens of performers joined in paying tribute to the late Jackie Opel in a fund-raising venture at the Plantation Garden Theatre last Sunday.
From the contemporary Philip 7 to the evergreen Richard Stoute, to the Sandpebbles, it was three hours of non-stop vocals supported by two bands made up of a number of accomplished musicians.
There was never a dull moment as emcee Mac Fingall engaged the crowd with his trademark wit and joked with some of the entertainers on stage.
