Most everyone, especially the ladies, were dressed for the red carpet, but that’s not really new for the weekly events held at Priva on 1st Street, Holetown, St James.
What was different for the West Coast nightclub was, it was open Tuesday night and, oh yes – Jamaican superstar Sean Paul hosted the party (as he was already on the island shooting a music video with Canadian band Simple Plan).
Even before his arrival, small groups could be seen liming the street eagerly anticipating his arrival. It was rumoured that he would show up at midnight, but when ZM 289 rolled up and he arrived with his small entourage minutes to 1 a.m., time stood still.
Screams erupted from inside before he opened the door to the club. As he headed towards the back of the club to mingle, he was quickly engulfed by women in short skirts and high heels.
Those who couldn’t get close enough climbed the backs of chairs to catch a glimpse of him taking pictures with his fans, and here singing Got To Love You and She Doesn’t Mind.
