Family’s home sweet home

After two years of moving from house to house, a family of seven now have a home of their own, thanks to the Kiwanis Club of Barbados.
Gail Browne, a mother of six, lost her St Michael home in a 2011 fire and since then had been coping with less than favourable living conditions.
She was presented with keys to a new home in Clinketts Gardens, St Lucy, yesterday.
“After the house was burned, I was wondering where am I going to get started and as a single mother raising children, it’s like what’s going to happen from here, but I kept my faith and I’ve made it,” she said. (JH)
