A CALL HAS BEEN MADE for a platform for local artists so they can better showcase, market and sell their products.
International artist Jenni Lewin-Turner was recently in Barbados and hosted a one-week showcase for Barbadian artists in the photography art form under the theme Roots & Wings.
Lewin-Turner, a British-based artist with Urban Flo, added that the showcase was also used to identify outstanding pieces that would be featured in the yearly Brighton Photo Fringe festival held in England.
Urban Flo, a creative consultancy company, also met with a number of fine art students of the Barbados Community College, some of whose work would be included in the exhibition that runs from early October to mid-November.
