THERE IS A shortage of medication at the polyclinics, says the Barbados Association of Pharmacy Owners (BAPO).
And they argue the proof of this is in the “multitudes of prescriptions coming out of the polyclinic setting with patients saying the clinics don’t have their medications”.
In a statement yesterday, BAPO president David Lewis warned of the impact it was having on the health of Barbadians.
They are also concerned about the millions of dollars owed to pharmaceutical suppliers, how this had led to a shortage of some medications island-wide, and the implications for Barbadians’ health.
