More than four months after the removal of the National Social Responsibility Levy (NSRL), people are contending that the move has had little effect on the high prices of goods and services.

As a result, they are asking Government to investigate the matter and take action.

Barbadians put forward their positions during a discussion with Minister in the Ministry of Economic Affairs Marsha Caddle on Sunday night at the Carrington Wesleyan Holiness Church, Welches Road, St Michael.

“Bajans either aren’t eating fast enough to move the stock from off the shelves or the merchants just ain’t dropping the prices because I know Bajans eat a lot . . . something’s wrong,” insisted Neville Wiltshire, owner of Rainbow Tours and Taxis. (WILLCOMM)
