Hockey powerhouse Combermere are in the hunt for a record four National Sports Council Sports & Games Barbados Limited outdoor hockey league crowns when the season climaxes with three finals this evening from 3:30 at the Hockey Centre.
Yesterday the Waterford-based unit captured the under-13 boys title with a 3-0 defeat of last year’s champions Harrison College.  Tyrique Demendonicia opened the scoring for Combermere to be followed by Stephen Morris and Antoine Perryman.
This evening Combermere A will be looking for a repeat of their recent indoor success when they defeated Foundation under-15 girls 2-1 in that finals.
Foundation boys also lost their indoor finals to Combermere B and this evening they will meet the A team.
The match of the evening could be the senior girl finals where Combermere will battle Springer.  Combermere hold tremendous confidence following their 3-0 whipping of the Springer team during the preliminaries.
With Foundation eeying two titles and Combermere gazing at three this evening, the saga will continue tomorrow as both of those schools will clash in the senior boys finals. A shocker occurred in the semis where Foundation put out Combermere A 2-0 on penalties while Combermere B stopped St Leonard’s. (KB)
