THE SCHOOL BOY charged in connection with the death of another made two appearances in the Bridgetown Traffic Court yesterday.Devon Shaquille Carrington, 16, of Upper Bakers, St. Philip, initially made a morning appearance before Magistrate Christopher Birch on a charge of causing 15 year-old Kevin Stoute serious bodily harm with intent on June 14.The teenager, who was represented by attorney Andrew Pilgrim, was not required to plead to that charge.Prosecutor Sergeant Peter Barrow had objected to bail and explained that the charge before the court was likely to be upgraded after a post mortem on Stoute’s body was done. The post mortem was completed yesterday morning.Magistrate Birch then remanded the accused until next Wednesday. However, moments later police investigators arrived and escorted Carrington back to the station where the upgraded charge was proffered. As a result, just after midday, the teenager made a second appearance before the same court, this time to answer the charge of murdering Stoute on June 14.He was not required to plead to the indictable charge and was then remanded until July 15.
