Jamile Goodman scored a brace as the Barbados Soccer Academy (BSA) came from a goal behind to register their first ever top-flight victory.

Playing at the Barbados Football Association Wildey Turf in the first of a triple-header, UWI Blackbirds took the lead three minutes before half compliments Alvin Chapman.

However when the players returned for the second half, the script flipped. Having taken the lead, the Blackbirds got a bit complaisant and invited pressure from the BSA.

It was only a matter of time before BSA got on the score sheet when Jamile Goodman produced the equalizer from a corner kick in the 69th minute.

Eight minutes later Goodman was once again in celebratory mood in what could only be described as a carbon copy of his first goal and with thirteen minutes of regular time to play the Blackbirds had no reply.

The defeat means that’s UWI are rock bottom of zone one having now lost both of their opening games this season after a similar score line defeat to note Dames last week. Meanwhile BSA move top of the standings with 4 points. (AGB)
