Hutson mum on REDjet

MINISTER OF INTERNATIONAL Transport George Hutson said yesterday he had nothing more to say about REDjet.
He made this clear at Grantley Adams International Airport where Boeing was showing off its new D787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.
Asked if he had anything to say about REDjet, Hutson replied: “I am not going to be getting into any war of words or otherwise with the media or REDjet with respect of the issues currently in the Press.
“It is not the way I do business or the way we do business at the Ministry of International Business and International Transport.”
Recently, Hutson was quoted as saying REDjet was never supposed to be a small island carrier but was instead supposed to create opportunities for travel into Central America and larger Caribbean countries.
However, REDjet CEO Ian Burns indicated this was different from what was communicated to the airline behind closed doors.  (CA)
