Remembering David Thompson

The Democratic Labour Party (DLP) will be holding a week of activities to honour former Prime Minister, the late David Thompson who died last year on October 23.
The inaugural annual David Thompson Memorial Week starts on October 23 and ends October 30. Thompson died last October 23.
Party general secretary George Pilgrim said the week was a reflection of Thompson’s mass appeal to the public and his ability to communicate with all walks of life.
The activities are as follows: October 23 – A church service and wreath laying ceremony at the St John Parish Church; October 24 – A night cricket competition at Gall Hill St John from 7:30 p.m; October 27 – A memorial lecture and exhibition at the Errol Barrow Centre for Creative Imagination at 7 p.m with guest speaker Roosevelt Skerrit, the Prime Minister of Dominica; October 28 – A lunch time lecture at DLP headquarters by Dr Leroy McClean at 1 p.m and an evening of reflections at the same venue at 6 p.m called David…I remember.
