Fourteen cubs were added to the West Terrace Primary School’s Cub Scout Pack #139 last Wednesday during an investiture ceremony on the school grounds.
Principal of the school, Ovid Gibbs, in welcoming the cubs, said he was delighted to see the level of interest shown by the students.
He said being a member of such an organisation would help them to be more disciplined and to develop various lifelong skills.
The cubs repeated the Cub Scout law, promise and motto before they were officially declared members.
For many young boys, it was with pride that they became members of one of the many uniformed disciplined youth organisations within schools and communities.
