This year will see a record number of bands on the road for the increasingly popular Foreday Morning Jam.
But some band leaders have voiced concerns over what they have referred to as complications arising from the significant increase in participation at the event.
Among some of their grievances are the need for a new route, a reduction in the number of bands allowed on the road and a better organized Foreday Morning.
Minister of Culture Stephen Lashley had previously revealed that because of the large number of bands registered, changes were scheduled to be made to the customary route.
He said discussions among the relevant shareholders were ongoing in an attempt to finalize a new course.
Veteran band leader Chetwyn Stewart, whose band Mud Slide will host 500 revellers, told the SUNDAY SUN that despite the number of bands having increased from 35 in 2012 to 46 this year, he was more concerned with the route being used.
He noted that with the current one, the only location where spectators could converge and see all of the bands was on Spring Garden Highway.
