The race is not for the swift, but those who endure to the end.
In the end, it was C.O. Williams Rangers who remained Division One netball champions.
Last Friday night at the Netball Stadium, Rangers edged long-time rivals Pine Hill St Barnabas 37-36.
The victory came at just the right time for Rangers who had been unable to get the better of St Barnabas this season, losing three times in previous meetings and surrendering their knockout title.
But Rangers held their nerve down the stretch, coming from behind to take the lead, then holding off the response from St Barnabas before scoring what was the winning goal.
Here, the back-to-back league queens celebrate another title.
Still queens
