Bacchanal Time for children

Kensington Oval is the new home of the Bacchanal Time Calypso Tent family fun day.
Yesterday evening hundreds of parents and their children were at the cricket venue for the event, being treated to fun and games as well as entertainment provided by calypso acts.
Director of Madd Entertainment, Keith “PC Broomes” Browne, said the event, now in its third year, had outgrown its previous home, the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation’s car park, hence the shift to the more spacious Oval.
The children enjoyed a variety of activities ranging from rock-climbing to horseback riding. That was followed by a show featuring acts such as Lil Rick and his children, Biggie Irie, Statement, Peter Ram, Madd and Mikey.
“It will be a full show for the kids because they do not really get out to see these artistes. They will get to see them on television but this will be a chance to see them live,” Browne said. (LK)
