Combermere have won a host of cricket titles over the past decade and yesterday they took a small step towards achieving another.
The Waterford, St Michael school booked their place in semi-finals of the Barbados Cricket Association’s Under-19 tournament with a comfortable six-wicket victory over Harrison College in a quarter-final match at their Waterford home ground.
Combermere, sponsored by Nicholls Baking, restricted their opponents to 91 and raced to the target in 14.3 overs on the back of an unbeaten 42 from Jonathan Drakes.
