Precious drops

When the St Matthew’s Primary School held its healthy lifestyle rally in the Jackmans, St Michael community yesterday, there was great emphasis on water.
As the scores of pupils and staff made their way through the district, they ensured that they consumed lots of the precious liquid along the way. The importance of water became even clearer to those participating in the walk on a hot and sunny day.
Teacher Francea Benn, who chaired the committee that planned the event, explained that the aim was to make the community aware of the global initiativeof going green.
“The theme we have is Going Green, Keep It Clean, in which we are looking at keeping the environment clean along with our bodies and also encouraging the community and our students to exercise and drink lots of water daily along with other healthy activities,” she said. (RL)
