One Caribbean Media Limited (OCM) has entered into an agreement to acquire the Citadel Group, owners and operators of three radio stations in Trinidad and Tobago – I95 FM,  Red 96.7 FM and Hitz 107.1 FM.
OCM has indicated that the change in ownership will see key talent being retained so that listeners to the three stations can look forward to the continuation of their favourite programming.
Additionally, OCM has successfully negotiated the acquisition of Sidewalk Radio Limited which is the owner of the radio frequency 92.3fm. This will facilitate the broadcast of the Caribbean Super Station (CSS) in Trinidad &Tobago for the first time. The CSS has, since April of last year, been broadcasting in Barbados, Grenada, St. Lucia, Antigua, Barbuda, Montserrat, British Virgin Islands, St. Kitts and Nevis.
One of the objectives of  CSS is to build bridges of communication across the Caribbean and promote the rich talent of regional artistes.
The transactions with Citadel Group and Sidewalk Radio Limited are subject to regulatory approval, but it is not expected that this will give rise to any difficulty or cause undue delay in completing the transactions.
OCM, parent company of The Nation Publishing Company Ltd, is a publicly owned and regionally focused media company quoted on the stock exchanges of Trinidad &Tobago and Barbados. (MK)
