Moving on

Plans are moving ahead to get the proposed $800 million hospital off the ground, says Minister of Health Donville Inniss.  
In his first statement on the matter since he announced last October 28 that a new hospital would be constructed to replace the 47-year-old Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), the minister said: “In a few weeks’ time we will be closer to making a decision in terms of the site.
“We have already received expressions of interest from several international and local entities who are interested in partnering with the Ministry of Health in providing the financial and technical support.”
Inniss was speaking yesterday during a ceremony at which medical equipment was handed over to the island’s polyclinics.
