BSTU to step up action

The Barbados Secondary Teacher’s Union (BSTU) is stepping up its industrial action from Tuesday.
Coming out of the emergency meeting held today at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, members agreed to withdraw services at all the schools from lunchtime in solidarity with their colleagues at the Alexandra School who have been on strike from Wednesday.
They have been instructed to sit in the staff rooms and sensitise members to the gravity of the situation and not teach.
