The overrun former Louis Lynch Secondary School is about to get Government’s attention seven years after it closed in a storm of controversy.
Minister of Housing and Lands Denis Kellman said on Wednesday that the best options for the plant were being explored but Cabinet would have the final say.
The electricity and water utilities are still being paid and while noting he would more than likely tour the compound Kellman did not say when.
Classes at the former school were halted in April 2005 when teachers, their union and parents battled authorities claiming that hazardous levels of pollution in the air from a nearby laundry were making staff and students sick.
