Concrete jungle

The EYE WITNESS team headed to the destination which no longer existed, the Louis Lynch Secondary School established in 1977 as Roebuck Secondary School and renamed in 1990 to honour an outstanding educator.
But seven years after a ferocious battle between authorities and teachers and parents of students at the former school, its main entrance is devoid of life except the overgrown vegetation and litter that engulf the entire compound. A cloud of suspicion on whether it is environmentally safe to inhabit still hangs over the drab concrete and steel structure.
A security officer has been keeping daily watch over the property as new businesses and residents spring up or disappear in and near the concrete jungle of Whitepark Main Road, St Michael.
As we approached the locked gate the officer questioned us about our business, informing us that we were not allowed on the premises and directing us to the Ministry of Housing and Lands for any information.
