CHANGES ARE AFOOT for the historic Garrison area.
The World Heritage Site will soon be on display for its gully and tunnel system and will be transformed as a place for theatre and food.
President of the Barbados Garrison Historical Consortium Inc., James Blades, outlined a few plans after the 100th sentry change re-enactment performed by the Sentries and Corp of Drums of Barbados, a division of the Barbados Legion.
“We are working on a historic tour of the Garrison, which had actually started on a regular basis in November 2012, targeting the cruise ship industry and long-stay visitors. We had a very good winter season and it looks like we will have a very good 2013 to 2014 season as well.
