Church rebuke

Some church leaders appear ready to wage war on the House of Spartacus.
Two of them, Apostle Dr David Durant of Restoration Ministries and Reverend Vincent Wood of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, have condemned the club strongly, with Durant suggesting he was considering actively trying to get it shut down.
“In the past I, along with other pastors, had spoken the Word of God to the owners of 21 And Up [a strip club] and the Investigator newspaper and both of them are now shut down,” Durant told the SUNDAY SUN yesterday.
“Now I have to trust in the Lord to see how we can deal with House of Spartacus because it can’t be allowed to continue. Hopefully, we will have the same result.”
Durant said the club, which facilitates consenting adults engaging in sexual fantasies while sometimes wearing masks, was “very disgusting” and would only serve to corrode Barbadians’ morals. Acceptance to the club is conducted via Facebook and it is held in different private locations across the island every few months.
