Schools will remain closed today.
This late word from Minister of Home Affairs Edmund Hinkson as he held another media briefing at the Department of Emergency Management.
Earlier this evening a release from the Government Information Service said schools, which were closed on Thursday, would reopen today.
However, Hinkson said the move follows the unanimous decision by the executive body of the Emergency Operations Centre just after midnight.
The centre also recommends that all private educational institutions be closed as well. (HLE)
