The curtain came down on the Spirit Of The Nation Talent Shows at Lester Vaughan Secondary School last Saturday.
The production under the theme We T’ing played out before a full hall of supporters, with talent from the central zone of Barbados – St George, St Joseph, St John and St Thomas.
The standout performers who won first place will go forward to the Spirit Of The Nation Show in November. They are the SPS Dancers, representing St Thomas with their energetic performance of Bajan Studies; Kieshelle Rawlins representing St George, who impressed with her skilful saxophone rendition of Yahweh; Leteisha Whitney representing St Joseph, who lustily sang United In The Caribbean; and the Hallelujah Dancers, representing St John, who gracefully performed I Need An Angel.
With the combined talent gathered from the three shows, Northern Explosion, Southern Kaleidoscope and now We T’ing, the Spirit Of The Nation Show in November is shaping up to be a Bajan extravaganza of talent. (SM)
