It will be a spectacle of colour, costumes and Caribbean music when the Miami Carnival gets underway this weekend.
Barbados’ own Alison Hinds, the Caribbean Soca Queen, was featured on NBC yesterday, along with Asa Sealy, a board member of One Carnival.
Hinds, who also spoke of her latest album Caribbean Queen, pointed to some of the costumes also on the set, noting it was just a sample of what will be on the road. Hinds, also set to perform tomorrow, spoke of the music and food that help to add to the merriment.
Sealy, spoke of the diversity of the festival, noting that this year there would be a large Haitian showing on the road. (CM)
