The legal fraternity turned out dressed to the nines for the annual Barbados Bar Association dinner at the Hilton last weekend.
The glamorous affair was attended by Governor General Sir Elliott Belgrave, Attorney General Adriel Brathwaite and Chief Justice Sir Marston Gibson. It was noticeable how many young attorneys there were among the few older legal stalwarts.
Senator Wilfred Abrahams kept the programme flowing, stirring laughter with jokes delivered with a straight face.
Guest speaker Senator Sir Trevor Carmichael injected a more sobering note with his feature address about the contemporary lawyer.
Biggie Irie was also in the house and once the formalities were out of the way attorneys got down to the business of feting.
