BINGHAMTON, New York – A parolee shot his wife in upstate New York, fled the scene and then killed himself when state troopers stopped his car, police said.
Police said that Ted Carpenter, 45, used a 9mm handgun to shoot his wife Kimberly, 42, in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Binghamton on Friday.
Kimberly Carpenter was in critical condition after emergency surgery on Saturday. (AP)
