A burst main near Hampton Pumping Station has resulted in water outages or low pressure to residents in some Christ Church and St Philip districts last night.
A release from the Barbados Water Authority today explained that a burst on the 16-inch main affected customers in Foursquare, Woodbourne, Packers, St Patrick’s, Yorkshire, Leadvale, Waldron’s, Charnocks, Coverley, Newton, Pilgrim Place, Parish Land, Oldbury, Ocean City, Wotton, Kingsland, Silver Hill and surrounding districts. BWA crews are today carrying out repairs to this burst and the Authority has despatched water tankers to service the affected customers.
The release also noted that crews are also busy repairing a burst on a small-sized main in Cordia Avenue, Sunset Crest, St James.
