Troy Williams got the fright of his life last night when the 18-wheel vehicle he was driving in the area called BET Hill in Wildey, St Michael, caught afire.
He escaped unscathed, but the vehicle sustained significant damage.
Fire officials were quickly on the scene and extinguished the blaze.
Police also arrived quickly to direct traffic and keep the scores of onlookers away from any possible danger.
