PRISON OFFICERS at the Dodds Prison are planning a sickout for today, according to reports reaching the DAILY?NATION?last night.
However, when contacted, Superintendent of Prisons John Nurse said he knew nothing about it.
Sources told the DAILY NATION that angry warders were taking the industrial action because of a memo circulated two weeks ago which announced that eight officers were being promoted.
A prison officer said yesterday that the news had caused an uproar at Dodds. (MB)
