ABOUT 100 PASSENGERS seeking to leave Barbados via JetBlue were met with further cancellations yesterday, prompting some of them to vow never to fly with the airline or visit the country again.
The DAILY NATION understands that frustrated travellers have been trying to fly to New York since last Friday but have been told the earliest they can do so is Friday.
Thousands of flights to and from the United States have been cancelled as much of the country is facing freezing temperatures, the latest bout of which has been blamed on the polar vortex, a large pocket of very cold air.
Dr Stewart Berliner, speaking at Grantley Adams International Airport, said he and his wife Traci needed to get back to work and their three children had to get back to college and high school.
