AN UNEMPLOYED MAN will have to wait 27 more days to know his fate.

Livardo Rogelio Hinds, of St David’s, Christ Church, was back before Magistrate Douglas Frederick in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday in relation to a number of drug charges.

He was 20 years old when he was charged with unlawful possession of 13.72 grammes of cannabis and unlawfully importing the illegal drug on May 12, 2011.

On Tuesday, after Constable Sylvester Cummins had given his evidence in the matter, Hinds conducted his cross-examination which lasted just over an hour. However, when Magistrate Frederick asked him if he was going to be calling any witnesses and if he intended to give an unsworn statement from the dock or a sworn statement from the witness stand, Hinds had an outburst.

“I done with that, man. I ain’t have nothing more to say,” he said.

Magistrate Frederick found him guilty of the offences and remanded him pending sentencing on September 25. (RA)
