NO RAIN could stop the pan jam.
Hundreds converged on Independence Square Saturday night for the annual Pan in de City which saw performances from Pan Extreme, Barbados All Stars and Banks Sound Tech.
The sweet songs of pan filled the air as the three orchestras took turns playing popular hits for the enjoyment of onlookers, and those within ear shot.
Songs played included Something Is Happening, Once Upon A Wine, Ting, Cyaan Be Ovah, Nah Going Home and Good Time.
An added treat was the appearance of Red Plastic Bag and Biggie Irie, who sang two songs each. Some tuk music from the Troubadours International Tuk Band was also included in the mix for further enjoyment. (YB)
