THREE?BRITISH CITIZENS were jailed last Friday for more than 25 years for conspiring to supply cocaine, valued $1.24 million, which was collected from Barbados.
Ryan McCalla, 30, who pleaded guilty to the conspiracy chargeat a hearing in December, received nine years and three months in prison while his father Lloyd,51, and Carlene Wilson, 27, who were both found guilty at Croydon Crown Court on January 27,were sentenced to 12 years and four years, six months respectively.
The judge Heather Baucheralso ordered travel restrictionson both McCallas upon their release from prison.
The restrictions will be for five years for Ryan and three yearsfor his father.
The trio were said to have conspired with deceased reggae star Smiley Culture, real name David Emmanuel, who was said to be the mastermind behind the drug scheme in which he hired females to come to Barbados to collect cocaine forhim. Smiley Culture was on bail for conspiracy to supply cocaine when he stabbed himself through the heart during a police drugsraid at his home in Warlinghamon March 15 last year.
